Signs of Neglect
Some signs of neglect related to your personal hygiene and wellbeing:
Feeling hungry a lot or not having enough food.
Being very dirty or unwashed.
Not having proper or clean clothes.
Not getting help for injuries or illnesses.
Being left alone for a long time without anyone looking after you.
Some additional signs of neglect may be:
Missing school often or not going at all.
Living in a very dirty or unsafe place.
Having to beg for food, clothes, or money.
Feeling ignored or rejected by a parent or carer.
Seeing a parent or carer abuse alcohol or drugs.
