How do I know I need help ?
Sometimes sadness can feel really heavy and can last for a long time.
If your sadness begins to feel like this, it could be something called Depression.
If you are feeling sad for longer than two weeks, it’s important to speak up.
Tell a trusted adult either by talking or by writing. This could be a parent, grandparent, teacher, older sister or brother, or a coach.
Once they know how you’re feeling then they can offer comfort.
Trusted adults can support you
They can support you with getting help by connecting you with people like therapists or doctors, whose job it is to help us feel better.
