What is Domestic Voilence
Domestic violence is also known as domestic abuse or family violence.
This is violence that happens in a relationship where one person hurts another or makes them feel unsafe.
It usually involves a spouse or a partner, but it can also any family member – like a child, or elderly relative. It can happen when people live together or separately and it can happen in any location, not just the home.
Domestic violence is also known as domestic abuse or family violence
Although we often hear about domestic violence happening between adults, young people can be affected by the violence and abuse they may see and hear. They may also be hurt, bullied, or threatened as part of domestic violence between adults.
Young people can also experience abuse from their own boyfriend or girlfriend.
